Pakistan’s army organized the eighth edition of the international competition of the Pakistan Army (PATS) team in Kharian Garrison, attracting the participation of local and international military teams.
The high-intensity military exercise of 60 hours length focused on patroling on semi-montanous terrain and was designed to improve combat skills, adaptability and teamwork through a shared exchange of innovative tactics and techniques.
Seven teams from the Pakistan army, a team from the Pakistan Navy and 15 teams from friendly countries participated in the competition.
Exercise has become a prestigious platform for military commitment to military and professional development.
The head of the Army staff, General Syed also Munir, attended the closing ceremony as the main guest. He praised the participants for their exceptional professionalism, resilience and commitment that are shown throughout the exercise.
“Pakistan’s army is proud of its values of character, courage and competition. These traits have been constantly demonstrated in our fight against terrorism,” said General Munir.
Held in the steep Punjab hills, the competition stressed the continuous efforts of Pakistan to promote regional military cooperation and improve operational preparation in realistic conditions.
Previously, the COA said Thursday that the peace and freedom they enjoy in Pakistan today are the result of the sacrifices made by the country’s armed forces.
The Army Chief made these comments during an investiture ceremony held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, according to a statement issued by Public Relations between Services (ISPR).
During the ceremony, the general also conferred the military honors, including Sitara-I-Imtiaz (military) and Tamgha-I-BaSalat, to officers and soldiers of the Pakistan army.
