The last two years have been a roller coaster for Liam Hendriks, but now it is back at the top.
Hendriks, who has not launched in almost two years, has been activated outside the injured list, since his rehabilitation of Tommy John is finally complete.
The Australian underwent surgery in the summer of 2023, and although there is never an ideal moment for such injury, luck simply was not on the side of Hendriks.

The 2023 debut of Hendriks was postponed while fighting no Hodgkin lymphoma earlier that year. He did not make his debut in the season until May 29, but appeared in just five games before going under the knife. The surgery caused the rest of that season and all last year to be lost.
Now with Boston’s red socks, Hendriks will make his long -awaited return to the blow.
Hendriks appeared in spring training, but the pain pain kept him in the IL to start the season. He tried to return last year, but suffered a setback that cost him late.

Before the injury, Hendriks had become one of the most prominent closures throughout baseball, leading the largest with 38 salvages in 2021 with the Chicago White Sox.
Hendriks went to three sets of consecutive stars from 2019 to 2022 (there was no summer classic in 2020).
The pitcher has an effectiveness of 3.82 for life, but that is inflated from his early career struggles. From his rookie year in 2011 to 2014, Hendriks fought as a starter and had an effectiveness of 5.92.
But something click after it became a full -time reliever with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015, since it had an effectiveness of 2.92 in 54 bullpen exits.

Then, in his next eight seasons with the athletics of Oakland and the white stockings of Chicago, he showed that 2015 was no accident, since he has had an effectiveness of 2.97 since then.
