The Vice Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al Nahyan, will arrive in Pakistan today (Sunday) on an official two -day visit, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit is part of the efforts to improve bilateral relations between Pakistan and the EAU, described by officials as “deep and fraternal,” said Express News citing FO.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah will hold broad conversations with the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar.
Discussions will cover trade and investment, energy cooperation, regional security and people exchanges to people. The Emirati Minister is also scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The authorities say that the meeting will reaffirm the shared vision of the two nations for peace and prosperity in the region.
“This high -level visit reflects the shared desire to strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement, adding that regional and global developments will also be on the agenda.
The EAU is one of Pakistan’s main business partners in the Gulf region, and officials say that the visit will help advance new opportunities for economic commitment and strategic coordination.
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (EAU) have expanded their economic cooperation in recent months through a series of agreements aimed at improving the development of trade, investment and infrastructure.
In February, during the visit of the heir prince of Abu Dhabi to Islamabad, both countries signed multiple agreements that cover sectors such as mining, rail, banking and infrastructure. These agreements are seen as part of broader efforts to deepen bilateral economic commitment.
At the beginning of January last year, Pakistan and the EAU concluded agreements greater than $ 3 billion, focusing on rail development, economic zones and large -scale infrastructure projects.
