PM launches an anti-political unit of a week


LAHORE:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed on Sunday the government’s commitment to eradicate the country’s polyomyelitis, announcing the launch of a new seven -day national campaign aimed at vaccinating millions of children under five years.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony here, the prime minister said that the government, together with the health authorities, was making important efforts to eliminate the virus once and for all. On the occasion, he administered polio to children to formally begin the campaign.

“Today marks the beginning of another national campaign of polyomyelitis. With the grace of Allah, we are vaccinating children not only here, but throughout the country, including GB and Kashmir Azad,” the prime minister told the ceremony. The campaign will run until April 27.

Shehbaz praised the efforts of the Minister of Health Mustafa Kamal, Secretary Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmed Bharth, the campaign coordinator and first -line health workers for his dedication. “I urge all parents to fully cooperate with the field teams to make sure each child is vaccinated,” he said.

Recognizing the challenges in some security sensitive areas, he said that solid measures had been taken to guarantee the safety of the equipment and the implementation without unity problems. “We must mobilize communities in each neighborhood and street to support this national cause,” he emphasized.

The prime minister extended the sincere thanks to international partners such as the WHO, the philanthropist Bill Gates and other parties interested in his continuous support. “With its cooperation … we will achieve permanent relief of this disease,” he said. (With application entry)
