Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that Pakistani abroad who make important investments in the country will be recognized with civil awards, recognizing their contributions as Pakistan ambassadors abroad, said Express News.
By chairing a high -level meeting on issues related to Pakistani abroad on Monday, the prime minister said: “Pakistani abroad are playing the role of ambassadors in our country. His services and dedication to Pakistan are commendable.”
The meeting was attended by the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, Chief of the Army personnel, the general also, the federal ministers and the senior officials.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said that a large number of Pakistani abroad participated in the recent Pakistani convention abroad, reflecting their confidence in government policies. “We greet its sincerity, love for the homeland and the sacrifices they have done,” he said.
The prime minister praised the global achievements of the Pakistani abroad, particularly in fields such as medicine, education, engineering and consulting. “They have earned a respectable name for them and the country through hard work and integrity,” he added.
In addition, he declared that the Government had recently launched an important initiative to honor its contributions. “The Pakistani abroad who worked exceptionally in several sectors abroad or sent the highest remittances through the State Bank will be honored with civil awards,” he said.
The government, he said, is committed to solving the problems faced by Pakistani abroad in a priority. Investment opportunities aligned with their professional experience will be provided within Pakistan to promote greater commitment.
The meeting also reviewed the progress in previously announced facilities and strategies aimed at supporting the Pakistani who live abroad.
