FlagG led Duke this season in almost all statistical categories, including points (709), rebounds (278), assists (155), robberies (52) and blocks per game (1.4). He averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.4 robberies for game, but his best performance was in January when he established a record of ASC Freshman with a 42 -point performance against Notre Dame.

“Cooper really proud for the special season he had this year. I think the praise speak for himself with what he did,” said Chief coach Jon Scheyer in a video posted on the team’s social networks. “Its outstanding aspects, its statistics, the ways in which the game hit both ends of the floor, really in each category, were out of the lists, so good first year season that a boy has had here.”
Flagg closed a phenomenal year with a semifinal appearance in the NCAA Male Tournament and was appointed the winner of the Naismith Award Player of the year of 2025, becoming the fourth first year student to be named his recipient.
