Long’s islanders have asked for the help of President Donald Trump, and it seems that they are receiving it.
The Massapugua High School nickname is the bosses, but the New York Law states that schools must eliminate logos related to indigenous peoples by the end of the year.
The Massopequa school district sued the State, but a federal judge failed against the district.

Well, Trump has caught the victory of the subject and has published in Truth social that the possible name change would be “ridiculous.”
“I agree with people in Massopequa, Long Island, who fight furiously to maintain the Massopequa Chiefs logo in their teams and school,” Trump wrote. “Forcing them to change the name, after all these years, is ridiculous and, in reality, an affront to our great Indian population. The school board, and practically all in the area, demand that the name be maintained. McMahon, to fight for the people of Massopequa on this important issue.

Washington does not pass proposals that would restrict tralet athletes against biological girls
“Changing the name has no good effect on our children. This is their identity, it is who they are: they are bosses,” said Massapequa School Board, Kerry Wachter, to New York Post last week.
Wachter also said that the district has issued a SOS to the Department of Education.
Nassau’s County Executive Bruce Blakeman appeared in “Fox & Friends” earlier this month and torn New York Governor Kathy Hochul.
“She must have bad thoughts on her head, when I think of a boss, I think of a leader,” Blakeman said. “When I think of a warrior, I think of someone with courage … we honor and celebrate our American native inheritance here in Long Island.”
The District sued the State in September, saying that the Board of Regents violated its rights of the first amendment by prohibiting school officials and officials to use merchandise “bosses” while in school property and other events.
The district says that the brand change would cost the district approximately $ 1 million and its identity.
