Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed on Monday’s strong desire to raise his “excellent political ties” with the United Arab Emirates (EAU) to a “mutually beneficial economic association”, according to an official statement from the office of the Prime Minister.
The comments were made during a meeting with the Vice Prime Minister of the EAU and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah Bin, Zayed al Nahyan. The two leaders discussed regional developments and world problems of mutual interest.
During the visit of Sheikh Abdullah, Pakistan and the EAU signed several comprehension memorandes (MOU) aimed at further strengthening ties between the two nations and promoting collaboration between their commercial communities.
The United Arab Emirates and Pakistan enjoy long data bilateral relations, with millions of Pakistani working in the state of the Gulf, contributing significantly to the economies of both countries. In recent years, the EAU have become one of the key nations that extended financial support to Pakistan in times of economic difficulties.
The brochure of the Prime Minister’s office declared that Shehbaz reaffirmed the deep fraternal ties between Pakistan and the EAU built on shared history, mutual respect and strong cultural and economic ties.
He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz transmitted his warm greetings to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed al Nahyan, the president of the EAU, and the ruler of Abu Dhabi, and appreciated the continuous support of the EAU to Pakistan in various sectors.
In expressing satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral cooperation, the prime minister emphasized the improvement of cooperation in commerce, investment, energy and people’s contacts to people.
On the occasion, Sheikh Abdullah Al Nahyan appreciated the contributions of the Pakistani community in the EAU and reiterated his country’s resolution to deepen bilateral ties and explore new ways for collaboration, said the brochure.
Meanwhile, he affirmed Eau’s commitment to strengthen relations with Pakistan in various sectors, including trade, investment and aviation, during their formal conversations with the Vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed his satisfaction that the relationship between the two countries would have been growing. He especially mentioned that “things have moved faster” during the last year or so. He said that the leaders and peoples of both countries wanted to develop this relationship even more. “Pakistan is close to our hearts,” he said.
In his comments, he said that both countries had ancient fraternal relations and that there were love and affection among their peoples. He said: “We are working together for the benefit and well -being of our two nations.”
After the conversations at the delegation level, the two Foreign Ministers signed the MOU and the establishment of the Joint Committee for Consular Affairs. They also witnessed Mou’s exchange on the establishment of the Joint Business Council of the EAU-PAKISTAN.

Pakistan and Rwanda agreed to deepen their cooperation in areas of commerce, investment, defense, diplomacy and people to exchanges of people during a meeting between the Vice Primer Minister to give and visiting the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungyrehe.
The two parts maintained in -depth discussions that cover the entire bilateral relations spectrum. Then he went to a joint press havoc, said that his conversations focused on strengthening existing ties and exploring new roads of cooperation.
Giving said that the two parties have also signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of diplomatic training. He added that Pakistan gave great importance to his relations with Rwanda. He said that the high commission Rwanda in Islamabad was also being inaugurated during the visit of the Rwandan Foreign Minister.
Ishaq said that Pakistan offered a promising market for Rwanda products. He stressed that the world recognized exports of Pakistan, such as pharmaceutical products, textiles, surgical instruments, agricultural technology and sports articles, had a strong potential in the rapid growth economy of Rwanda.
He mentioned that there was great collaboration potential in the field of information and communication technology. He said that Pakistan was interested in associating in areas such as digital transformation, electronic government, Fintech and innovation platforms for young people.
On the multilateral front, the Deputy Prime Minister said: “Our cooperation remains robust.” He mentioned that both countries regularly supported the candidacy of others at the UN and other international forums.
Rwanda Foreign Minister said Pakistan and Rwanda shared a commitment to world peace. He pointed out that both countries were among the five main nations that contribute to the UN Peace Maintenance Missions. He added that they shared a common desire to work together in several sectors.
