LAHORE:
The Superior Court of Lahore has canceled the list of causes containing bail requests after the arrest of the founding president of PTI, Imran Khan, in eight cases related to the disturbances of May 9 due to the lack of availability of Judge Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi.
Judge Rizvi directed the Bank of the Division that the hearing is important. The second member of the bank is Judge Tariq Salem Sheikh.
It is pertinent to mention that the Bank of the LHC Division had previously postponed the hearing of Imran Khan bail requests as of April 23, after the records of the case did not occur before the court.
Imran had presented bail requests after arrest in eight different cases related to the disturbances of May 9 that followed after their arrest.
The former prime minister approached the LHC questioning what he called illegal and politically motivated cases.
He argued that he had been deliberately involved in these cases “forged and false” despite having no participation.
By attracting the court’s attention to the key points, he said that the Prosecutor’s Office had offered divergent positions with respect to the date, time and place of the alleged series and other positions, which offers these cases of “additional investigation.”
