Kalash culture on exhibition at art exhibition


Islamabad:

Senator Sherry Rehman opened an art exhibition on the culture and identity of the Kalash community in the National Council of Arts of Pakistan (PNCA).

The exhibition entitled “Redinging: The Kalash Narrative”, stressed the importance of preserving and celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of Pakistan. He showed the work of six artists achieved of art: Ahmed Habib, Akram Dost Baloch, Ejaz Khan, Ma Bhatti, Riffat Khatak and Samreen Asif.

“This exhibition is a beautiful celebration of the unique and vibrant culture of the Kalash community,” Rehman said. “Its traditions and heritage are not only different but also deeply inspiring.”

“It is essential that we continue to promote and appreciate the various cultural identities that make up the fabric of our nation,” he added. “The artists have skillfully highlighted significant issues through modern expression, and the whole team deserves sincere congratulations for this commendable effort.”

He congratulated the organizers and participants for healing a powerful and visually convincing showcase, adding that such initiatives play a vital role in promoting cultural understanding and unity.
