Alijah Arenas, a five -star basketball prospect and son of former NBA player Gilbert Arenas, reported that he got involved in a serious vehicle accident, according to multiple reports on Thursday.
Arenas was “hospitalized and placed in an induced coma,” Espn said. The 18 -year -old California native was traveling in a Tesla Cybertruck shortly before 5 in the morning in Los Angeles, according to TMZ Sports.
Arenas recently committed to the Male Basketball team of the USC Trojans.

In December 2024, Arenas was one of the best classified shooting guards in class 2026. He recently asked to be reclassified as a last year student to allow him to graduate from high school in 2025.

Gilbert participated at a special moment of father-son earlier this month in the All-American game of McDonald’s in New York. In an interview, the youngest sand talked about some of the similarities he shares with his father.

“Our personalities are a bit equal,” said Alijah. “I feel that is my dad’s dream too, that I could reach that level.”
During a recent edition of The “Podcast P” of the 76ers Guard of Philadelphia, Paul George, the old sand shared some details about the experience of training his son.
