Irobot has just launched a new ‘flagship’ robble, but it is less impressive than its existing models, and I’m confused

  • Irobot launches a new flakeless ship Max 705 Vac with an AutoMpty dock
  • It has a little more suction than other rooms, but it is much simpler
  • It costs $ 899.99 / £ 699 and is available to preorder now

Irobot has presented a new flagship robot vacuum: the Max 705 Vac, along with AutoMpty Dock. And although it looks like a very capable robovac, I can’t help feeling quite disappointed and a bit confused too.

It looks like only Area where this robovac improves in the rest of the range is that it has a higher maximum suction level. That is great, the cleaning power is quite key if your robovac will be useful, after all, but it is not the most exciting attribute for a flagship model.

In addition, there are several ways in which the VAC Max 705 is missing compared to the other inhabitants. It is the only Model of not offering receiver capabilities along with the vacuum, which also means that the dock is significantly more basic than the car that comes with the 405 and 505 models.

I am not reluctant to a robot only in a vacuum, and I do not believe in complicating to complicate, but it is confusing to have an flagship model with a list of features that is much shorter than the models under it.
