The Cleveland Browns used General National Team No. 144 in the fifth round of the NFL draft to take Sanders on Saturday, ending one of the most shocking slides by a upper field marshal leaflet in the history of the league.
Sanders, for some, was projected to be the first quartback taken this year shortly after the end of the 2024 University Soccer season. But throughout the draft process, that changed dramatically, and Sanders fell until the third day.

The family was in the center of the immense national attention with video images of its handling of the dramatic fall. This included Sanders giving his family a speech admitting that they were not prepared to fall from the first round on Thursday, and the images of a prospect joke on Friday.
But on Saturday, the family finally listened to its name called … and it was time to party.
In live images on Twitch, Sanders and their family members were seen exploiting in a strident chillidos celebration once his name was called.
The additional images showed that the family broke in the spontaneous dance moments after the selection was conducted.
Shedeur himself made his own statement after writing, accrediting God.
“Thank God,” he wrote.
Sanders and family members thanked God repeatedly during the draft weekend.
Sanders led the Big 12 conference with 4,134 air yards and 37 TouchDown passes and was appointed the offensive player of the year Big 12. In his 50 university games, Sanders launched for 14,347 yards, 134 Touchdowns and 27 interceptions.
For a quarterback perspective of that esteem that falls from the third round it is very unusual in the NFL.
President Donald Trump even joined the debate on Friday, when he started the “stupid” NFL owners for transmitting the Star Colorado field and allowing him to fall into the second round.

“What happens to the owners of the NFL, are stupid? Deion Sanders was a great university soccer player, and was even greater in the NFL. He is also a very good coach, streetwise and intelligent! Therefore, Shedeur, his son of Marshal of Campo, has phenomenal genes, and everything is ready for greatness,” Trump wrote in a Social publication of truth.
“It should be” chosen “immediately by a team that wants to win. Good luck Shedeur, and greet your wonderful father!”
The main perspectives such as Sanders have seen shocking slides in the past steps of the NFL. Aaron Rodgers was reduced to the 25th General Selection in the 2005 NFL Draft, and the 49ers passed it by Alex Smith.
Patrick Mahomes was not taken until the 10th selection in the 2017 Draft, and the Bears passed it through Mitch Trubisky. Even so, at that time, Mohamses was less an advertising perspective than Sanders.
Lamar Jackson fell to selection 32 in the 2018 Draft, after four other quarterbacks were taken in front of him.
But Sanders, who was once considered the main candidate in number 1 in general this year, falling up to day three of the draft, is a historical anomaly.
An anonymous NFL coach told the NFL network Sanders was “the worst formal interview in which I have been in my life.”
“He has a lot of right. He takes unnecessary captures. He never plays in time. He has a horrible body language. He blames teammates,” the coach continued. “But the most important thing is that it is not so good.”
Another AFC executive for a long time echoed that feeling, saying at the exit: “It was not great in our interview. He wants to dictate what he is going to do and what is better for him. It makes you feel small.”
Then they took three quarterbacks in front of him, including the leaflets of lower rating Jaxson Dart and Tyler Shough.
Then, Sanders was called by an imposter during a live broadcast on Friday night. While he and his family were broadcast live on the second day of his party at the NFL draft on Friday night, Sanders was seen responding a phone call that meant that he was from a general manager making the decision to recruit him.
But the wait, the scrutiny of the media and even the joke were clearly not enough to cushion the spirits of the family when it was finally taken, or their faith in God.
