Meeting magazines High speed train proposal

LAHORE:

Railroad Minister Hanif Abbasi presided over a detailed meeting on the high-speed Lahore-Islamabad and the improvement of six routes in Punjab. The main minister of Punjab, Maryam Aurengzeb, participated in the meeting on behalf of the PML-N aimed at the Punjab government.

There was a detailed informative session on the reduction of the travel time of the Lahore-Islamabad train from the current 4 hours to 2 hours and 45 minutes. The Punjab government reaffirmed its commitment to work together with the Pakistan railroads and discussed important agreements.

The train that leaves Lahore will pass through Lalamusa, Dina and Gujar Khan before arriving at Rawalpindi. The Kalowal-Pandora section will be realized and the track will double, which increases the capacity of the line to handle up to 120 trains in each direction. Other initiatives include the complete reconstruction of all bridges, the remodeling of the patios of the station and other necessary measures.

After the meeting, Marriyum Aurengzeb said that this project is part of Punjab’s vision by Minister Maryam Nawaz. “The trains project is a wonderful gift for people,” he said. The provincial minister also praised Hanif Abbasi’s efforts.
