The coach of the Denver Broncos, Sean Payton, never needed a field marshal who enters the NFL 2025 draft, which is always a good place to be.
BO NX, the team’s first round draft in 2024, showed a tremendous promise as a rookie, helping to bring Denver to the playoffs of a hard division of the AFC West.
But that did not mean that Payton was not evaluating the quartbacks available in this year’s Draft class, especially Shedeur Sanders, who played on the road in Boulder for Colorado buffalo in the last two seasons.

Sanders took care of the NFL draft stories, while sliding in the fifth round before the Cleveland Browns finally took him with the selection No. 144. Due to the unexpected fall of the draft, Payton issued a warning to the NFL teams about the perspective he had really known.

But Payton was not surprised just because he knows the Sanders family well. Many others could not believe that he had slipped so far, to the point that the general manager of the Browns, Andrew Berry, admitted that they had taken him because it had been the best perspective available in “the most important position.”
“It’s surprising. We evaluate it,” said Personnel Executive Vice President of Patriots from New England, Eliot Wolf, after day 2, through ESPN. “I had the opportunity to see him play against Oklahoma State this year … It was interesting to see that he is still available, and I am sure it will be suitable for him tomorrow.”
