The NFL is investigating how the new Cleveland Browns Shedeur Sanders were leaked used for the NFL draft, which led him to be called a joke, confirmed a league official with Pak Gazette Digital.
During day 2 of the NFL 2025 draft, the video went viral on the social networks of Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes star, receiving a call on a telephone specifically used for the moment.
Sanders expressed concern about possible joke calls before the draft, so he said that Boost Mobile sent him a new phone with a number only released to the NFL executives.

However, the video showed the field marshal talking to someone to go through the general manager of the New Orleans, Mickey Loomis.
“It has been a long wait, man,” the joke he called in the video was heard. “We will take you with our next choice, man, but you will have to wait a little longer, man. I’m sorry for that.”

“He really didn’t have an impact on me because it was, I mean, ok, as if he did not feed the negativity or not feed those things.” Sanders told Cleveland Media on the joke call, through ESPN. “You’ve seen in Deion [Sanders] JR’s YouTube video.
