NFL Draft: Shedeur Sanders faces criticism for the ex-nfl corridor

NEWNow you can listen to Pak Gazette articles!

The former Pittsburgh Steelers corridor, Merril Hoge, was ahead of most experts with his criticisms of Shedersur Sanders and his prediction for the future of the NFL of the former Marshal of Campo de Colorado.

It was projected that Sanders would be selected as high as number 2 in general in the NFL draft, but its epic fall to the fifth round became the talk of the event. The Cleveland Browns finally made the decision to write it even after choosing the Dillon Gabriel Marshal before.

Hoge shared his opinion about Sanders days before the draft began in an interview with WDVE in Pittsburgh.

“I think the best way to summarize it is that it is a very good university field marshal,” Hoge explained. “Its precision is good, its processing is good. And when I say well, I use a scale from 1 to 10, so it is good is about five. Then, if you are a five in the university, agree? Those (precision and process) are the two most important aspects of the transition to the National Football League, and then you build from there. Anticipation, Awarity of Pocket and then we begin to build, but if you are not a five rounding

In addition, Hoge disagreed with the supposedly inflated numbers of Sanders. The Buffaloes star has the record of all FBS time for its ending percentage at 71.8%, but Hoge ruled out when Sanders launched many bubble screens.

I did not believe that using those types of plays would translate into the NFL. He said the teams will look for skills sets that have guys such as Joe Burrow, CJ Stud and Jayden Daniels.

“He is not even close, he is not even in the baseball stadium … there is some hardness for him that I like, but how he moves, he will not be scary in anyone,” said Hoge, adding that the teams should be cautious about Sanders that Sanders can handle the expectations that occur with a first round selection.

“You cannot handle the expectations that are presented to you,” he added. “It will be an epic failure, and will delay your organization for another two or three years.”

Those expectations decreased a little once it fell to the fifth round. However, Sanders is in a position to win the initial work in the camp, since it is not established in stone that Kenny Pickett or Joe Flacco will be QB1 once the season begins.

Gabriel is the leader of all time in TouchDown passes at the FBS level, but was even chosen at the end of the draft.
