“It is unfortunate that these private numbers reach people who make joke calls,” Drew Rosenhaus, Carter Agent, told ESPN. “Abdul and I knew it was Bs and we didn’t even tell his family about the call.”
Carter did not have to wait too long after the joke, since the giants called their name really with the next selection. However, he was not the only one who deals with the jokes on the day of the Draft.
Several others had to deal with false calls, but no more public than Shedeur Sanders.
Several NFL Draft Prospects are victims of joke calls not related to Sheders’ joke: report
The NFL announced Wednesday that it is fine at the Atlanta Falcons $ 250,000 and the defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich $ 100,000 for the filtration of the Private Telephone number of Sanders used for Draft Day calls.
Ulbrich’s son, Jax, 21, was in the center of Sanders ‘joke call, since the Falcons announced in a statement that he had “involuntarily found the contact telephone number for Shedersur Sanders of an open iPad while visiting his parents’ house and wrote the number he later made a joke call.”

While it was not Jax who called Sanders, one of his friends passed through the general manager of the Saints of New Orleans, Mickey Loomis.
Later, Jax issued an apology on social networks, saying “what I did was completely inexcusable, shameful and shameful.”
In addition to Sanders and Carter, Tyler Warren of Penn State was joked when the New York Jets were on the clock at number 7 in general, by Jordan Schultz de Fox Sports.
Associated Press also learned that Field Marshal Kyle McCord, defensive Tackle Mason Graham and the offensive Tackle Chase Lundt were involved in unrelated jokes calls.

NFL.com pointed out how a league memorandum is sent every year of the players’ phone numbers and is marked as “confidential.” They are sent to the general manager, the chief coach and the director of Personnel of Players of each team, and that is all.
The report added that all owners, chief coaches and GM must certify in writing that no violations were made, including “sharing non -public information.”
