- Samsung Toase Project Moohan will arrive in the second half of 2025
- The headset previously received a year of launch 2025
- Does not name Moohan directly, so it could be launching different hardware
We suspect that the Samsung Project Moohan headphones, in which he is working in collaboration with Google and his Android XR platform, would arrive at the end of 2025, and Samsung basically confirmed that this is the case.
During his recent 2025 first quarter, the technological giant shared details about his financial situation and, more importantly, for us, information about his hardware releases scheduled by the end of this year.
He confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge would launch in the second quarter, so at some point in the coming months, and revealed that “it will explore new products such as XR”, in the second half of the year.
While Samsung does not explicitly mention Moohan by name, the previous and most direct comments on the headphones have already mocked that the device would land this year, so it is likely that this statement refers to its launch.
Although it could also be causing the launch of some other XR hardware, such as the recently revealed Android XR glasses.
What do I hope that Android XR headphones offer?
It is a bit frustrating that Samsung has not yet given us a firm launch window, opting for a period of six months, causing a launch at some point at the end of 2025.
So, while we expect, let’s review what we want to see from the headphones when it is finally shown, and what leaks admit these dreams of Android XR.
Something tells us that this headset will not be cheap, with some early reports that suggest that Samsung is looking at something in the range of $ 1,000 / £ 1,000 / au $ 1,500 (as well as the goal Quest Pro). So, if it is going to be expensive, at least give us impressive performance and skills to justify the cost.
I would love that this headset feels like a portable portable computer from a productivity perspective, already a difference from the pro vision, would ideally achieve this goal without needing a MacBook complement.
I want to be able to navigate without problems in Google Workspace applications such as sheets and unit, as well as third -party productivity applications that use mixed reality, to help me work more easily than if I were sitting in my normal desk.
You will also have to be comfortable. I am well to have a battery in my pocket to help trim something of the central device, because I want this headset to seem that I can use it for hours without problems, instead of being a pain in my neck.
Fortunately, the first testers have affirmed that the prototype is not too uncomfortable, thanks to its adjustable straps and its well -shaped face, so we hope that the main product is also comfortable.
Next, I want this device to be a versatile machine. I do not want to turn on productivity, entertainment, or some other use of XR. I want it to be a Jack-of-Lall-Trades like the goal Quest 3.
This means that you need to have a wide range of applications that are worthwhile, which is essential for any successful VPh headset. You also need a design that is suitable for use while on a desk or on your sofa, as well as while working and is active.
So, beyond being light as I touched before, you need to use an easy material to clean (such as silicone) for pieces such as your facial interface instead of cloth, so it does not absorb sweat.
We will have to wait and see what Samsung has under the sleeve, but with its launch date established for some time at the end of this year, it is only a matter of time before we see the device in action and we can decide if it is the best class XR device that I hope is.
