- Intel has highlighted the improvements of its IGPUS arc used in the MSI Claw 8 AI+ and MSI Claw 7 AI+ Handhelds
- ARC 140V and 130V have a better energy management optimization
- It has resulted in better frame speeds and marking in multiple games.
The portable games are growing again in popularity, with new AMD and Intel (System-on-Chip) hitting the market that provides great games performance, and Team Blue has taken measures to improve the efficiency of two of its IGPU.
In an official blog post, Intel confirmed a performance update for the IGPUS ARC 140V and 130V, Claiming a 10% profit gain and a 25% update in the 99th percentile (essentially lower FPS possible) Surfaces in several games at 17W (energy consumption). The ARC 140V is present in the MSI Claw 8 AI+ PC and the MSI Claw 7 AI+ Handheld Gaming PC, which use the powerful Core Ultra 7 258v processor.
All this is possible thanks to the previous ARC graphics controller 32.0.101.6734, which improved energy administration with lower powers (also incorporated into its latest ARC 32.0.0.0.101.6739 graphics controller), as highlighted in its launch notes. We previously report this, but now Team Blue has performance graphics to show the improvements.
In games like Cyberpunk 2077, Ragnarok War God, And Marvel spider man remasteredBoth the average and the minimum of 1% see significant improvements between drivers 6732 and 6734 while playing in 17W TDP. Notably, Fortnite In the 6734 driver it has the greatest increase in both average and minimum FPS of 1%; Essentially, this increases softness with a better frame rhythm.
The MSI Claw 8 AI+ is the king of efficiency by appearance …
Taking into account its 80 -WHR performance and battery capabilities to a low TDP, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ is probably the best PC for portable games in terms of efficiency.
I would lie if I said that I have been using my allied Asus Rog consistently; It has been mainly collecting dust, because its battery life is poor. As much as I do not care to keep plug in a wall outlet (just like what I would do with a laptop of games), it becomes frustrating.
I have not yet had the pleasure of using the MSI Claw 8 AI+, but everything I hear about that makes me love much more (especially after the revelation of Nintendo Switch 2). You would barely need to push the device beyond 17W, and you will still have great performance, and I cannot say the same about Rog’s ally.
Now, if you want to use the MSI claw while on the battery, it will still last much more than Rog’s ally and other hand computers such as the Lenovo Legion Go. It is a testimony of how MSI changed things after its initial attempt with the MSI Claw A1M model. Hopefully it can be overcome once again with a new device in the future …
