This majority participation provides layer control over one of the most prominent food and bioenergy producers in the region. Adecoagro owns Sugar Mills, Rice Pharms, dairy and renewable energy operations in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
Tethher said it aims to climb the production of Adecoagro while aligning the company with its mission of promoting “economic freedom” through finance and decentralized investments in disregarded markets.
The measure could be part of Tether’s ambition to Tokenize active assets, since he launched his asset tokenization service last year. The platform was designed to simplify the conversion process of a wide range of real world assets, including bonds, basic products, actions, other stable and loyalty points in digital tokens in blockchain rails.
