Complete spoilers follow immediately to Andor Season 2 Episode 6.
Andor The star Faye Marsay has revealed how tape death will affect the story of her character Vel for the rest of season 2.
Talking to PakGazette before Andor The launch of season 2, Marsay suggested that the shocking event will leave a lasting impression in VEL, especially due to the nature of Romeo and Juliet of the relationship he had with Varada Sethu tape.
The disappearance of tape is a heartbreaking moment and defined by the character for Vel. Despite its distancing in Andor The last half of season 1, and the tape decision not to contact Vel before appearing suddenly in Chandrila to kidnap (and presumably kill) to the old friend of Mon Mothma, Tay, in season 2, episode 3, the romantically tangled couple still takes care of clearly.
The evidence of this is in its entirety at its eventual meeting in Ghorman in the sixth chapter of this season, entitled ‘What a Festive Night’. After Cassian refuses to make Luthen’s tender, essentially, it helps incite a riot that could lead to the death of hundreds of citizens of Ghorman, Luthen sends Vel and tape to Ghorman to help his flourishing resistance to the galactic empire.
It is a decision that is fatal for tape, and it could be devastating enough to reconsider its loyalty to Luthen.
In fact, after a pair from heart to heart that result in the duo reaves their relationship, Vel and tape help Ghorm’s freedom to the combatants of freedom to interrupt a convoy of the empire, stealing the weapons that said convoy is sent through the streets of Ghorman and escapes at night.
That would be the case, anyway, if this were not a trap established by the Imperial Security Office of the Empire. In a nutshell, a citizen of Ghorman Leal to the empire interrupts the attack of the rebels, there is a fight and, in the midst of confusion, tape is accidentally murdered by a member of Ghorman’s resistance.
In a Star Wars television series that has already delivered its fair part of the tragedies, I am still shedding one for Basso after his death in the third episode this season, it is another revealing blow for resistance. For Vel, tape death is even more personal, and it can be a turning point in the Disney+ program that could force her to reconsider her loyalty to Luthen and the rebel alliance.
“For Vel, the rebellion has always been the first,” Marsay told me when I asked about the last event of soul destruction in one of the best Disney+shows. “The only moment that is really proven is with this relationship with tape. Apart from the rebellion, it is the only thing he could have chosen.
“But, tape is trapped in the mentality of ‘The rebellion is the first’ and Val suffers for that,” Marsay continued. “It is a relationship they want, but they can’t have.
“Once tape is no longer with us, Vel really has nothing more to live.
