QUETTA:
The president of the Awaam Pakistan party (app), Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, has said that Pakistan cannot advance unless the political instability ends, and adds that there is a need for genuine political leadership and stronger democratic processes.
Speaking to the media during his visit to Quetta on Thursday, Abbasi expressed serious concerns about the deterioration of the situation of law and order in Baluchistan.
“During the last 10 to 15 years, Baluchistan has faced continuous crises. Today, its roads are insecure, their economy is suffering and their young people are losing hope,” he said. “We must reflect on why such conditions persist in Baluchistan.”
He criticized Islamabad for not addressing the basic complaints of the people of Baluchistan and urged the federal government to take effective and revolutionary measures to correct long -date concerns of the population of the province.
“The country’s problems will not be solved until political disturbances end and the rule of law is established. We must direct the country and divide its resources into the framework of the Constitution,” he said.
