Almost a full year ago, the 11 -time LPGA winner, Lexi Thompson, 29 years old at that time, announced that he was no longer going to be a full -time golfer.

“Many people do not realize … so we spend as a professional athlete. I will be the last to say ‘launch a pity party’. That is the last thing I want.
Now, almost 12 whole months of that decision, it seems that Thompson does not regret.

“It has been very relaxing. Much more time for me, my family, friends, recently committed, it is good to have a balance of life now. I have been a professional since I was 15 years old, but in the world of golf since I was seven years old. I am excited to explore other things that life has to offer,” Thompson said in a recent interview with Pak Gazette Digital.
“I feel comfortable with [my decision]. I still plan to play here and there, but more sporadically and more in my time. I’m just trying to find my love for the game again. It is something that has been part of my life since I was little. I have always loved the competitive side and I was always driven to be perfect in golf, but you can never be perfect in golf. So it is a continuous learning challenge. Sometimes that can be very difficult. But yes, it has been a good decision for me. Mentally, I am more at peace, and that way when I do, they are events that I hope, and that I feel that my game is ready. “
