Prince Harry loses the security battle despite affirming that his life is “at stake”

Prince Harry denied armed security in the United Kingdom

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has faced a great legal blow, since he has just lost his security battle.

On May 2, 2025, Harry’s appeal to restore armed police protection financed by taxpayers in the United Kingdom and his family, as before the real duties in the United Kingdom, was rejected.

Despite the statements that his life was “at stake” and his family, including wife Meghan Markle and the children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were in danger when visiting the United Kingdom, the Court of Appeals ruled against him.

The legal team of the youngest son of King Charles insisted that he was “indicated” for “unjustified and lower treatment”, but the court agreed with the decision taken by the Executive Committee for the protection of Royalty and public figures (RAVEC), which degraded the Duke of Sussex’s security after “Megxit”.

It is worth mentioning that although the case has already cost Harry more than 500,000, his only option is to try to appeal to the Supreme Court.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who married in 2018, left their real roles in 2020.

The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex now live in Montecito, California, with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
