A Gofundme has begun in efforts to help pay medical expenses for the 20 -year -old man who fell from the stands of a Pittsburgh Pirates game this week.
Kavan Markwood, a former university soccer player, was identified as the man who fell more than 20 feet on the warning track of the right field.
Markwood turned the railing of the wall and fell into the field in a game between the Pirates and the Chicago puppies.

The game stopped immediately when the medical staff ran to the garden to find a Markwood without a motionless shirt on the earth of the warning with visible blood on his face. The coaches of both teams joined EMS to take it to a cart and off the field.
Pittsburgh’s public security later said Wednesday that the fan was in critical condition.
A woman identified as Jennifer Phillips appears as the organizer of fundraising.
“I am writing this today with a heavy heart but also with hope,” Phillips wrote. “Our society has made it so easy to judge an individual or a situation with social networks that it is always just an opinion. Please, always remember that this individual can be very special for many other people. Can you imagine what your loved ones are happening and carving? [sic] I know this young man very well and I know he is very strong, but he is also fighting for his young life. Be considered during this tragic time. “
Phillips said donations “will help with any medical invoice and financial difficulties that this family is experiencing at this time.”

The pirate star, Andrew McCutchen, hit a double two races to put the 4-3 team at the bottom of the entrance when the players of their team frantically tried to alert the referees and the security that the fan was on the warning track.
The game stopped for about 10 minutes when medical staff arrived. The fan was placed on a board, loaded in a medical cart and took the stadium.
TO Graphic video Published in social networks showed that the fan fell on the railing and fell about 20 feet to the ground. The TV transmission showed McCutchen standing on the second base with his hand on his head and in shock. The puppies players knelt while the fan was being treated.
Markwood played for two soccer programs of Division II, Walsh University and Wheeling University. He played at Wheeling in 2023, appearing in four games, according to the team’s site.
