The security forces have killed five terrorists for three separate operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to a statement issued by public relations between services (ISPR), operations were carried out on April 30 and May 1 in several places of KP, during which five terrorists were killed.
The statement added that two terrorists were arrested during the operation. In the Bajaur district, the security forces launched an operation based on intelligence reports, aimed at a militant hiding place.
According to Pakistan’s army spokesman, three terrorists were killed after a strong fire exchange. Among the dead was a high value target, identified as Fareedullah.
In addition, he declared that another secret operation was performed in the dosali area of northern Waziristan, where two terrorists were killed during a shooting.
ISPR said that the third operation was carried out in the Mohmand district, where the security forces successfully raided a militant hiding place and arrested two terrorists, including a high -level militant called Lal Amir, also known as Ibrahim.
The army spokesman added that a large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives also recovered during these operations. The murdered and arrested terrorists had been involved in various terrorist activities.
The statement concluded that an authorization operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate the remaining terrorists, and that Pakistan’s army remains determined to eradicate terrorism and will continue its struggle to free the country from this threat.
