Islamabad:
The prominent religious and political leader Senator, Professor Sajid Mir, died on Saturday at the age of 86 years after a heart attack, family sources said.
Mir, the chief of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan, belonged to a suburban area of the Sialkot district.
A scholarly and known person for his scholarship, Professor Mir had a master’s degree in English and Islamic studies along with a degree in Economics with Urdu and Psychology. It was also a Faazil in Dars-E-Nizami.
Mir was chosen as PML-N senator in 2021, which was his fifth time playing the elections of the upper house in the game ticket. He had also served as senator from March 2009 to March 2015.
