- It is rumored that Apple is dividing the iPhone launching schedule
- The changes could be made in 2026
- Apple wants to increase sales of the four flagship models
For many years, we get used to launching its best iPhones all together every September, more recently the iPhone 16 series, but if a new report is created, that program could be established for a great shake in the coming years.
According to information (through Macrumors), Apple plans to meet September launches for Pro Max models, while changing the other iPhones to Springtime in the United States (presumably around March).
The idea is that dividing iPhone launches as this “will rejuvenate long -standing sales”, according to the information report. There also seems to be some uncertainty about how well the ultra air of the iPhone 17 will be sold.
It seems that these changes are not planned for this year, but will be implemented next year, with the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the launch of the iPhone 18 Air in September 2026, and the standard iPhone 18 and possibly the IPhone 18E then arrived in March 2027.
All changes
The information recognizes that there are risks involved in reducing this time established for a long time. However, it is believed that consumers will persuade to be updated more regularly, while facilitating production pressure on Apple’s manufacturing partners.
Another reason for change: leaving space for the folding iPhone, expected at some point in 2026. Pushing the less expensive iPhones to a launch window at the beginning of the year will mean more production capacity for a new model.
None of this is yet confirmed, of course: we will have to wait and see what Apple does in the coming months. It is possible that Apple itself has not fully decided whether or not to mix its launch schedule in 2026 and 2027.
If the company does, it will be a substantial change in the annual telephone launch calendar. We have already seen Samsung and Google move their flagship phone releases at the beginning of the year, and it is possible that these movements are part of the reason why Apple is thinking of its own renewal.
