The slide of the Draft of Shedeur Sanders remained the topic of conversation a week after the Cleveland Browns selected the field marshal in the fifth round of the NFL 2025 draft.
The sequelae have had all the current and previous players and experts trying to discover why a player like Sanders, who had projected as one of the first players outside the board, had managed to fall until No. 144.

ESPN NFL Draft Matt Miller analyst shed some light on the fall of the former Colorado Buffaloes star. He pointed out how Sanders and his camp had handled the entire draft process.
“I didn’t think they would handle the process well,” he told Awful announcing. “And that is not just retrospective. I took very hot to say in ‘NFL Live’, just before the NFL exploration combination, which was making an error.
