- Mass production may have begun in Galaxy’s next folding
- We expect a launch event at some point in July
- The Z Flip 7 could be the only model to obtain a battery increase
We hope that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 arrive in July, and a couple of fresh rumors suggest that the pitches are on time, but that only one of these folding will get a battery update this year.
First, Tipster @pandaflashpro (through Sammobile) says that mass production has begun at the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7, as previously predicted. That fits very well with a release date within the coming months.
Second, the technological perspective (through Sammobile again) has discovered certifications for these folding phones that give their battery sizes: 4,400 mAh for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (which coincides with the Galaxy Z Fold 6) and 4,300 mAh for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 (above the 4,000 mAh battery in the Galaxy Z Flip 6).
Changes in battery capacity do not always equal changes in battery life, of course, but the indications are that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will last longer among the charges, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will again offer 10-11 hours of battery life (according to our comprehensive review of Samsung Galaxy Z fold 6).
This is what is coming
We have already heard many rumors about these two folding badges, of course. When it comes to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, there has been a better dust resistance and an important 200MP camera update. Its processor is expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and we have also seen unofficial renders of the device.
As for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, it seems likely to obtain a full -size coverage screen, such as Motorola Razr phones, which would definitely be a welcome improvement. An increase in battery life in previous leaks has also been mentioned, with other tipsters agreeing that 4,300 mAh will be the capacity of the 2025 model.
There may be an interesting turn in terms of the software here too: the word is that the phones could come with an UI 8 (based on Android 16), despite the fact that an UI 7 (based on Android 15) has just arrived at most Galaxy phones.
If Samsung celebrates another launch event unpaid at some time in July, it should be a great show. In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7, we also hope to see a new tri-glide device, the Galaxy Watch 8 models and perhaps the Galaxy Ring 2.
