A former WWE fighter was accused of a large jury of Tennessee after allegedly trying to buy child pornography in 2024.
Michael Droese, who went through Duke “The Contwster” Drobese during his fighting days from 1994 to 96, faces a position of attempt for sexual exploitation of a minor.
District Attorney Chris Stanford of the 31st Judicial District in Tennessee announced the accusation in a press release on Monday.

“This position was aggravated because Mr. Droisese intended to buy the material of child sexual assault,” Stanford said in the statement. “Buying child sexual assault material is an aggravated crime because the money used to buy the material is what continues to make the child sexual aggression material profitable for criminal companies that produce and sell it worldwide.”
The press release stated that Drobe tried to buy child pornography on the dark website using a coinbase account on April 21, 2024. The company finished the purchase, marking it in the process.

Droisese, who then told Jason Walker, from Warren County Sheriff’s department, advanced to the FBI.
The Tennessee Research Office was brought to help the Sheriff’s department, finally bringing Drocese.
Droisese delivered after the grand jury accused him. It was reserved in the department of the Warren County Sheriff and released after publishing a bail of $ 10,000.

The statement said Droése had been working with the Adult Recovery Court of Judicial District 31, which is also known as “Drug Court”. He was DUI coordinator there, while he also worked for the program in other capabilities before his current role.
Stanford said Droése did not work with any child during his time with the program, and since then he has been fired from his position.
However, a 2009 WWE article said Droése had moved to Tennessee after his career and became a primary school teacher for special education students. He would later be forced to leave his job after selling oxycodone to an undercover officer in 2013.

Droisese must be submitted to the Warren County Circuit Court on May 28 for a position reading hearing.
If he is convicted, he faces a possible sentence of two to four years in prison.
