- The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could have only 3.9 mm thick when it unfolds
- You could also have a new battery and cargo technology
- We are also listening again that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could have a larger battery than its predecessor
We have heard from several sources that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be impressively thin, but a new claim suggests that it will be even thinner than we had previously heard, at least when developing.
According to @universeice, a filter with a solid history, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have only 3.9 mm thick when developing, that is even thinner than an 4.5 mm statement that we had previously heard.
When folding, it is a slightly different story, with this source claiming that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a thickness of 8.9 mm, which would actually be thicker than the 8.2 mm that we had heard elsewhere. However, anyway, that is exceptionally thin for a folding phone.
According to some exclusive information, the following direction of the Samsung Machine should not be thin and light, and the battery will be thin and thin, and the body will continue to be thin. The Galaxy Z Fold7 will be the thindest folding machine in the world at that time, … pic.twitter.com/uas3nzaf8jMay 7, 2025
@Universeice also shed some light on the battery, echoing previous leaks by saying that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a 4,400 mAh battery, just like the Samsung Galaxy Z FOLD 6, but also intriguing that it will use new battery and cargo technology.
It is not clear what they mean with this, but it could mean that the battery will last more than the battery in the Z FOLD 6, although it is apparently the same capacity, and it can also mean that we see load speeds higher than the 25W of the Z fold 6.
From the fold to the flip and the S26
Leaving the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the same source has also claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a 4,300 mAh battery. That would make it bigger than the 4,000 mAh battery in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, and this is something we have heard from multiple sources, so there is a good possibility that it is precise.
Finally, @universeice states that the Samsung Galaxy S26 “will continue to be thin.” As a reference, the Samsung Galaxy S25 is 7.2 mm thick, so this suggests that its successor will not be much thicker and possibly could be thinner.
Of course, we would take all this with a pinch of salt, but in regards to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 GO, we should know everything about them soon, since it is likely to be presented in July. However, the Samsung Galaxy S26 will probably not land until early 2026.
