Cambridge exams canceled in AJK, Punjab


The International Examination of Cambridge (CIE) and the British Council have canceled the Exams of Cambridge or Level, IGCSE and International As As scheduled for today (Friday) in the cities of Muzaffrabad and Mirpur de Azad Jammu and Cashmiro (AJK), Islamabad and Punjab Province.

In a statement issued on Thursday, he said that the difficult decision was made in consultation with the authorities after reviewing the current security situation. “Our priority is to support the security of students and staff, and help students progress with their education,” he said.

He said that the exams scheduled for other places in Pakistan on Friday, May 9 will continue planned if the security situation remains unchanged. “We will keep all updated if there is any change.”

“When the exams are canceled, we use our well -established experience and processes to ensure that we can grant fair qualifications so that students can progress,” the statement added.

He urged people to follow and verify the official pages of Cambridge and the British Council Pakistan only for any official update. “If you have any questions, contact your school or customer service of the British Council if you are a private candidate,” he added.
