Islamabad:
On Thursday, the Permanent Committee of the Senate was informed about Pakistani abroad and the development of human resources that was projected that Europe would require 450 million workers qualified in the coming years, and Pakistan is moving to position its workforce to meet demand.
Similarly, a labor agreement between Italy and Pakistan has already been signed, while a similar agreement with Belarusia is expected soon.
During the session, chaired by Senator Zeeshan Khanzada, secretary of the Ministry of Pakistani abroad and human resources development, Dr. Arshad Mahmood told the committee that Belarus required approximately 150,000 qualified workers.
Efforts are being made to send so many Pakistani workers there possible, he added.
Dr. Mahmood also declared that Europe requires qualified work, and Pakistan has initiated specialized training programs of six months in five universities, including Nust, with the aim of guaranteeing confirmed employment opportunities abroad at the end.
He revealed that the Interior Minister of Italy visited Pakistan a day before and formally signed a bilateral agreement to recruit Pakistan’s qualified Labor.
The CEO Sehuula Program Muhammad Arshad informed the committee that all Pakistani citizens had the right to free medical treatment under the program.

Separately, the general director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Committee that Pakistan has signed prison exchange agreements with eight countries, under which 185 convicted persons have been repatriated.
