Nicolas Cage recently became sincere about the role that made him feel “naked.”
In a new talk with The guardianNicola Cage was asked to reveal the performance that led him “farther” from his “comfort zone”
In response, he referred to his 2022 film and said: I think that the most difficult performance was the unbearable weight of a massive talent. “
He continued explaining: “Because I was playing a character named Nick Cage and I couldn’t hide behind him.”
For those not versed, in the film, Nicolas interpreted a fictional version of himself called Nick Cage.
The film revolved around his anxieties about his career, his relations with his ex -wife Olivia, played by Sharon Horgan, and his daughter Addy, played by Lily Mo Sheen and his public personality.
Elaborating his discomfort while playing the role, Nicolas admitted: “It was greatly uncomfortable.”
“I felt very naked, and somehow ashamed, that I was even playing a role that referred to itself as Nickolas or Nick Cage,” he concluded.
In another part of the interview, he argued inspiring several events and musical groups.
Praising such an entity, he added: “I am familiar with a Hard Rock band in Australia called Nicolas Cage Fighter, and I think they are excellent.”
“His songs are empowerrs. The lyrics are about taking possession of his mistakes, never being a victim, discovering how he can solve his problems,” he explained in conclusion.
