A Lacrosse player from Ohio’s high school died this week at the age of 16 after a strange accident during a game.
Dylan Veselic, a second year student at Bay Village high school, died Thursday after taking a ball in his head two days before.
Vesel was injured after a shot of an opponent hit the back of his head under his helmet. He underwent surgery on Wednesday, but it wasn’t enough.

“We are deeply moved by the overwhelming support and kindness shown by our community and beyond. We ask you to continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time,” said the family in a statement.
“Dylan was a dedicated student and athlete, and we are disconsolate for this loss,” said the Superintendent of the Bay village schools, Scot Prelables, in a statement, through Cleveland.com. “The advice services are available at Bay High School for students, personnel and family members who need support.”
A collection of funds in honor of Veselic has raised more than $ 80,000; Its objective was only $ 500.

“Dylan was an incredible student, always using a smile on his face while supporting his teammates,” said Atlético de Bay Village director Matt Spellman.
“He was kind, worker and dedicated, constantly showing leadership, empathy and a positive attitude both in the field and in the classroom.”
Veselic was cataloged as team captain in MaxPreps.
This was his second season in the university team, playing for the university team as a first -year student as well. He played in 25 high school games.

The team canceled a game on Thursday, the day he died, for a prayer service. His next game is scheduled for Tuesday.
