In response to the attacks not caused from India against the Pakistani territory by India, the Pakistan army has launched a military operation, called Bunyan Ul Marsoos, aimed at multiple Indian military facilities.

Pakistan’s offensive occurred shortly after saying that India had fired missiles to three air bases before Saturday, including a close to the capital, Islamabad, but the Pakistani aerial defenses intercepted most of them.

Locked in a long dispute over Kashmir, the two countries have been involved in daily clashes since Wednesday when India launched strikes inside Pakistan. Pakistan promised to retaliate.

The name of the operation, Bunyan Ul Marsoos, is extracted from a verse from the Sacred Koran, which means “a built wall of molten lead”, symbolizing strength, solidarity and impenetrability.
