Senate Panel Parrillas Ministry about the loss of Hajj quotas

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has informed the Senate Panel that the final number of Pilgrims of the Hajj of Hajj’s private operators is subject to the approval of the quota by the Saudi government.

The secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Attaur Rehman, informed the subcommittee of the Permanent Committee of Religious Affairs of the Senate, explaining that the payments for the services of Qadana and Tawafa are deposited in accounts in Saudi Arabia. Once the funds are transferred from there, they will be disbursed among the organizers.

He pointed out that the funds could be used for the next Hajj if the system is maintained.

Subcomité Convincing Senator Awn Abbas Bappi asked about the deductions for pilgrims who requested reimbursements and requested details about the correspondence with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

He also asked about the funds deposited by error.

The secretary of the Ministry assured that the intention that the pilgrims receive reimbursements.

Senator Bappi also questioned why the SBP had not increased the daily fund transfer limit. The secretary of the Ministry replied that only the organizers with at least 14,000 Riyals in their accounts were clear.
