- Google messages has begun to implement its ‘eliminate for all’ function
- It was first seen in February, and now users are beginning to get access to the long -awaited messaging function
- The function is being implemented slowly, but users have noticed some setbacks
The shameful texts are the worst, we have all been there, but Google has plans to crush that feeling and is beginning to implement an option to ‘eliminate for all’ in Google messages for Android, only a few months after the initial rumors.
The new function not understood soon will have two different options, the first is ‘Delete for me’, which is already part of the Google messages messages, and the second is its next ‘Delete’ button that, as the name implies, will eliminate the messages from the view of other contacts.
A handful of users has begun to notice the new option ‘Delete for all’ in Google messages, but not everyone yet has it, which implies that it is gradually implemented. A user with access published a screenshot to Reddit that shows how the new function will be seen once it unfolds widely.

First we listen to Google’s plans to introduce an unpublished button when Android Authority shared an APK disassembly, and the site writers managed to work in March. A feature like this has taken a long time to arrive for Google messages, but even when it unfolds, it will come with some small inconveniences.
Until now, ‘eliminating for everyone’ is limited to large group chats
When it comes to disturbing text messages, Google Messages is behind WhatsApp and Imessage, which have offered the ability to remove messages for everyone in a chat for quite some time. It is good to see that Google is up to date, but there are still two catches that must take into account.
As discussed in our previous reports, Google is likely to stay with its 15 -minute window for its “eliminate for all” characteristic, which means that if you want to eliminate a text from a conversation, you will have to act quite quickly. But that is not the only problem that users have noticed.
Although the previous Reddit publication offers an idea of how the new Google messages function will be seen, the user also calls our attention to the function that can only be accessed in chats of larger groups. For them, ‘eliminating for everyone’ only works in a group chat with 12 members, and have not yet found a 1: 1 chat that allows them to eliminate messages for all.
As it is, this new function has many limitations, but because it is only in the early stages of the implementation, we hope Google modifies these once it is widely available for all Google users messages.
