- The next Mercedes-AMG EV could boast more than 1,000 hp
- It will be the first Mercedes-AMG product built from scratch
- Porsche, Audi and Xiaomi could finally have another burning rival
Mercedes-AMG has caused its first electric ‘super sedan through a series of images released in their social media channels that show the great and imposing four-door fastback with a thin camouflage.
The front and rear lamps have been inspired by the design of the stars used in the next cla, causing a kind of fury in social, while the low driving height and the huge aerodorzed wheels mean their performance intentions.
Above all, the design already differs from the combination models of EQE and EQS slightly confused by Mercedes-Amg that have reached date.
But the good news is that this is the first Mercedes-AMG Electric and High Performance product, complete with its own platform (called AMG.EA) and internal adjusted electric motors.
Where AMG was once the last word in the high -performance combustion engines, possibly reaching its maximum point with its fantastic and fierce V8 of 6.3 liters of 6.3 liters (I have had one personally and it was surprising before the fuel invoices would ruin me financially), it has not yet been allowed to have an evil path with an electrified motor.
The reports suggest that the next super electric sedan will use axial flow motors, which are much lighter and more dense of energy than the radial engines used in most high performance evidence today.
According to Autocar, a total output power of 1,000 hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque is quite feasible of a double axial flow motor configuration. But we will have to wait for a complete revelation to find out.
However, this would bring it directly on the Taycan Turbo GT shooting line, which is able to break the 0-62 MPH sprint in just 2.3 seconds thanks to its 1.020BHP power. You can also return an impressive 347 miles with a single load.
Analysis: Porsche will be difficult to overcome

Since the automotive industry made the change towards an increasingly electric future, Mercedes-AMG has decreased and turbocar its internal combustion engines, as well as add plug-in hybrid options to comply with the most strict emission regulations.
Talk to any AMG fan and they will probably admit that this has had a negative effect on products that leave the famous Affalterbach factory. Let’s not start with the Mercedes-AMG EQE 53 and EQS de Mercedes-AMG, strangely disappointing.
But this last project could be the first time we really see what the famous Mercedes-Benz adjustment arm can do when the brand’s battery and motor technology has in its hands, and the results can finally assume the power of Porsche and Audi.
The first would probably be its closest opponent, since it has been pushing its EV technology to the limit for years, with the Tucan Turbo GT possibly one of the most amazing and impressive high -performance electric vehicles that I have been lucky enough to drive.
Simply imbue an EV with huge amounts of power is not good enough, since a lot of work must be done to translate that into usable performance in the real world.

The Taycan Turbo GT, complete with the Weissach package that eliminates the rear seats and adds a fixed carbon rear wing in search of lightness, is possibly too much for the road, but redefines what it means to go fast.
The handling is exquisite, the feedback through the steering wheel by pure Porsche and the acceleration with the limit activated above the boot.
The launch control is so aggressive that the driver can only handle a handful of races before throwing in the towel … or vomiting. However, it can even make ham drivers look like the goat, thanks to their apparently endless amounts of grip and balance.
But despite this, the market is still relatively slow for high performance EVs, and according to reports, Taycan’s sales collapse in 49% in 2024. Deficient residual values are also influencing consumer confidence in new cars.
Mercedes-Amg Entering the game should help demonstrate to the market that this is the future of high performance motoring, based on the work that Audi, Porsche and Xiaomi (at least in China) have already done.
In addition, hopefully will indicate a return to AMG doing what is best when it is left to its own devices … mainly creating cars of phenomenal conductors.
