The chief general of the Army Personnel (COAS), Syed also Munir, said on Monday that no hostile design could undermine the determination of Pakistan’s armed forces, as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared May 10 as a national day to be observed annually as ‘Youm-E-Marka-E-HAQ’.
Marka-E-HAQ refers to the broader conflict with India from April 22 to May 10, while ‘Bunyanum Marsoos’ is the name given to the operation on May 10, during which Pakistan promised justice and compensation.
Public relations between services (ISPR) said that the head of the Army visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi to ask about the welfare of wounded soldiers and civilians during Marka E Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
The general also emphasized that no hostile design could erode the resolution of the Armed Forces. “The value and sacrifice of our civilians and soldiers are the cornerstone of Pakistan’s security. The entire nation is united in solidarity with each member of their armed forces,” he said.

For martyred military personnel, the Government would provide RS10 million to RS18 million to families, according to the rank. In addition, according to the range, RS19 million at RS42 million would be given as housing assistance to the families of the martyrs.
The families of the martyrs would continue to receive full salary and assignments until their scheduled retirement date; In addition, the children of martyrdom soldiers would be entitled to free education until graduation, and a daughter of each martyr would receive RS1 million marriage subsidies.
The prime minister said that the wounded military personnel would receive from RS2 million and RS5 million each. In addition, he announced that the Federal Government would support treatment expenses for all injured people, both civil and military.
