Nascar Harrison Burton analyzes the possibility of races in Indy500

Harrison Burton is in his second Nascar circuit in so many years after being allowed to go for wood races last year in the Cup series.

Now, in his own words, he has improved his stock in the Xfinity series with six top 10, even in each of his last three races (he only had two last year).

But with the appearance of Indy 500, Burton admits that it would be good to put himself behind the wheel in that race.

“I like to run anything,” Burton told Pak Gazette Digital in a recent interview.

Burton has succeeded in Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In his first race there in 2022, he finished third.

But Burton’s love for “motor sports in general” only has at least a little interested in managing Indy 500.

“I see F1 every weekend I can, Indycar as much as I can, Rally Cross, Formula E, Motorcross, everything. I love it. Sure, if that opportunity came,” he said.

“My true passion is Nascar, and I would never want to leave Nascar’s space. Driving Indy in a cup car was one of the most great things I have done in my career. Definitely seeing the prestige and charm of Indy 500, and knowing the guys who have run in it, talking about what it means for those guys, it is really great.”

At the moment, Burton will have to wait until July 26 until Pisa Indianapolis, a song he has in his top-three, along with Daytona and Darlington.

“You go to Indy, and you are dragging the line. You are looking at a wall all the time, it is a turn of 90 degrees and you say:” Ok, I see exactly where I will hit if I do not do this corner, “Burton said.” It’s a lot of fun. It is always great to go to a place like that, only the history and stories from there. It makes it more special when you can have a good day. “

Talladega was outside looking in, but “the atmosphere is unmatched.”

Burton will return to the track on May 24, one day before Indy 500, at Betmgm 300 in Charlotte.
