Islamabad:
The Supreme Court ordered all higher courts on Tuesday to file registers of pending cases related to super taxes and postponed the hearing until May 19.
A Constitutional Bank of five members of the Supreme Court, headed by Judge Aminuddin Khan, listened to the matter as the former lawyer of Senator Raza Rabbani, lawyer of the FBR, concluded his arguments before the bank.
Rabbani referred to several judicial precedents during their presentations regarding the imposition of the Super Tax. Judge Commandkhail asked about Senate’s opinion about super taxes. Rabbani replied that the Senate had not raised objections regarding the tax.
