The National Hockey League announced on Tuesday that a minority owner of the Florida Panthers has been suspended due to its activity in social networks.
Doug Cifu got into a dispute with a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs that became an argument on the conflict of Israel-Palestina and Cifu mentioning Canada as the “State 51”.
Florida and Toronto are currently facing the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The series has been quite a chippy, which began with a high success of goalkeeper Sam Bennett about the Leafs, Anthony Stolarz, later in the game, Stolarz became ill in the bank and has not played since then.
A fan, with the name “Dr. Grizzo”, published in X, “Hey, what is worse, wear shots in the head to win a series or use hunger as a weapon to win a war?”
Cifu replied: “Actually, being a complaining drug anti -Semitic is clearly worse. Loser.”

“Not approve the use of hunger as a weapon makes me a fan?” The fan responded, adding a derogatory comment on the conservative political opinions of CIFU.
CIFU replied: “Eat S — 51st State antisemite loser. Israel now and forever. Until [sic] The last Hamas rat is eliminated. “
Cifu then made his private account and deactivated his account.
“Two days ago, I published unfortunate and inflammatory comments on social networks. My behavior does not reflect the standards of the Florida Panthers organization and the family viola. I sincerely apologize to all those affected by my comments. I am committed to work with the NHL to amend my actions.”

The series is tied in two games each with game 5 in Toronto on Wednesday night.
