A significant reduction in gasoline and diesel prices is expected in Pakistan during the next fortnight due to a fall in world oil prices and a decrease in importation premium over gasoline, Express News reported Wednesday.
The sources indicate that gasoline prices could decrease to RS3.5 per liter, while high -speed diesel could fall in RS7 per liter.
These price adjustments are in line with changes in international oil prices, which have seen a decrease of around $ 1.5 per barrel for gasoline and $ 3 per barrel for diesel in the last two weeks.
From now on, the ex-sports of gasoline is RS 252.63 per liter. The final price adjustment will be confirmed on May 15, 2025, when official calculations based on current tax rates are made.
The reduction in fuel prices occurs when the global market has shown signs of flexibility, reducing import premiums and international crude prices.
