ATC will listen to the 9 cases of May four days a week

LAHORE:

To accelerate the trials of the cases of May 9, the anti -terrorist courts will hold audiences four days a week.

According to the new modified calendar, the anti -terrorist courts will listen to cases on May 9 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The decision was taken at a meeting held on May 9, 2025, after the directives of the Supreme Court to conclude the cases of May 9 in four months.

Previously, the ATCs were doing these tests three days a week.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor’s Office did not provide the registration of cases against the founder of PTI Imran Khan and other PTI leaders before the anti -terrorist courts in the last hearings of the cases of May 9.

The Prosecutor’s Office argued that the registration was presented at the Apex court.

On Wednesday, the Prosecutor’s Office once again submitted the registration of the multiple cases registered against PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi. The Prosecutor’s Office argued that they were busy in prison trials and did not know Qureshi’s bail affairs. They sought time to produce registration and advanced arguments.

Qureshi’s lawyer, Rana Mudasar, said the Prosecutor’s Office is using delay tactics to prolong trials against his client.
