- secret level will return to Prime Video for season 2
- At the moment, no release date, cast, or story details have been revealed.
- The news comes after more episodes were released on the streamer yesterday (December 17).
secret level will have a second season on Prime Video, even though its first season has received a mixed response from critics and fans. However, one of the best streaming services has decided to order more episodes following the release of the final season 1 entries yesterday (December 17).
We don’t have a confirmed release date for season 2 yet, and we also don’t know if any of the big stars from season 1 will return in possible sequels to the standalone stories.
The first season features many big names, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Hart and Keanu Reeves, who lent their voices to an anthology series celebrating the world of video games, with episodes based on characters such as Dungeons and Dragons, Sifu, New World, unreal tournamentand warhammer 40,000 all showing up.
What has been the response to season 1 of Secret Level?
At the moment, secret level Season 1 has a Rotten Tomatoes critical score of 67%, meaning it’s not eligible to appear on our list of the best Prime Video shows. In fact, critics haven’t been overly impressed: TechRadar senior entertainment reporter Tom Power panned the series in our December 13 weekly recap, saying, “I’ve seen all 15 episodes, and while I can attest to how Some of them look beautiful and the intriguing stories they tell, many of them look like empty, cash grab-style ads.”
To add more fuel to the “not good enough” fire, it also received five “rotten” ratings from critics on the review aggregation website. So while audiences seemed happy enough to give it an 82% score on ‘Popcornmeter’, it hasn’t done enough to win over critics.
Still, there’s always room for improvement and I’m interested to see if Season 2 will make our list of the best Prime Video shows now that its core creative team has received feedback from gamers around the world. It’s up to you, Amazon and Blur Studio.
