Sean Penn believes that the era of film stars is over.
During its appearance in the The Podcast Louis Theroux, Penn and the host discussed the current main talent of Hollywood, and the Mystical River Star declared that The hunger games The Jennifer Lawrence star is “probably the last film star.”
“I think the movie stars manufacturer was exhausted by Jennifer Lawrence Time or something,” Penn said. “She is probably the last movie star.”
Another actor who is definitely a movie star on Penn’s Eyes is Tom Cruise, who is preparing to release his new film, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning In cinemas.
The Oscar winner praised Tom for making her own stunts and for making incredible action movies.
“A certain type of films appreciate more than others … but this is a very good actor who is also an incredibly extraordinary craftsman,” Penn about Cruise said.
“These films are not made at those levels without someone extraordinary behind them. He is the common link behind many of them. It is not an accident. He makes his own acrobatics. He is probably the best specialist in the world of cinema. He is the most experienced guy,” he added.
Despite having said that there are no new film stars, Sean Penn said: “I see some performances of some young actors where I feel that I should stop smoking and become accountant because they are very good.”
