“It was just a regular interaction. It was me,” Hunter said on the phone while describing his experience with Sandy Hawkins Combs last week. “A beautiful lady sat next to me, we talked and made sure to take care of her as if I did my grandparents or any older person. So yes, that was all.”

However, for combs, he was more than just someone who was kind to her, as she wrote In a Facebook post.

“I had the most wonderful flight home from Denver,” he wrote. “I met the most pleasant young man who sat next to me. He offered to put my bag in the upper compartment and helped me with my tray. He was always educated, saying ‘Yes, ma’am’ or ‘no lady’. Anyone would be proud to have him as a son or grandson, very educated,” Comong said about Hunter.

“The people who walked said congratulations, a great job or even taking photos. I turned and asked:” Who am I sitting next to? “I looked at his jaguar pants, smile and asked:” Are you an athlete? “He smiled and said: ‘I’m Travis. I already told my children that I want his shirt.”

After listening to that last combs bit, Hunter described him as a “blessing” that wanted to support him after the unique interaction.

“I didn’t expect anything to enter the media, but it was just me,” he said.

Despite being “regular” for Hunter, the Colorado star has been dealing with the center of attention for many years. It will only continue to grow at the NFL level, especially taking into account its draft stock and how the Jaguars have already established the high bar for the bidirectional player.

However, Hunter knows that being humble plays an important role in his life, inside and outside the field.

“Humility is how I got here, so that’s all I know,” he said. “Be humble and simply put at work. Keep your head down and move.”

As Hunter continues to work, he is also excited by an important milestone in his early career, seeing himself on a NFL commercial card for the first time.

Hunter associated with Panini America, along with several other incoming rookies, where they will receive their first commercial Panini NFL cards at the NFLPA rookie premiere.

“Simply excited to see me on my own card, so it’s definitely a blessing,” he said.

One day, Hunter’s rookie card could be worth a penny, but he understands that he depends on him to make that happen.

“I don’t know,” he said when asked how much he would pay for his rookie card. “I still have to work.”
